　　Dear Mr. Brian , friends from the United States,leaders and chairmen of Shanghai Charity Foundation , entrepreneurs from China and the United States, ladies and gentlemen:

　　Good afternoon !

　　I am pleased to participate in today's signing ceremony. A few days ago, some friends from the United States and I had just gathered in Beijing, and today we have gathered in the Shanghai,this beautiful city. First of all, on behalf of the China Charity Federation, I want to give warm congratulations to the establishment of "Shanghai Charity Foundation United Way Fund"

　　I think the establishment of the special fund is a powerful coopertion. On the one hand , Shanghai Charity Foundation is an important group member of China Charity Federation ,which has a high social influence, good social credibility , a strong ability to raise funds , project operation capability and advanced management level. Over the years, Shanghai Charity Foundation’s pragmatic and efficient ability of fund-raising and organizing social assistance has made remarkable achievements , and make a positive contribution to the society. Some aspects of working of Shanghai Charity Foundation is walking in the forefront of China. Meanwhile, Shanghai Charity Foundation has a global perspective on strategy development , an open mind, and dare to innovate and great potential for development. On the other hand ,as an international public institutions with a long history, United Way Worldwide, not only has advanced concept of charity work and team building experience , but also has a strong ability to integrate charity resources. United Way Worldwide also has advantages of strong cooperation with numerous Fortune 500 companies. Thus, as the only member unit of the United Way Worldwide in mainland China, China Charity Federation is willing to give great support to the special fund established by joint effort of both sides. We believe that through cooperation, the two institutions will play their respective strengths , complementary advantages and create success .

　　In 1998,China Charity Federation join United Way Worldwide,which was called Community Chest back then . In the past fifteen years, China Charity Federation has worked with the United Way Worldwide in the charity projects , emergency relief , the exchange of experience , training and other aspects,which had made effective efforts in solving lack of educational resources in some areas of China and enhancing charitable team capacity building. Meanwhile, the two sides are still continuing to explore deeper cooperation and development of charity.

　　China Charity Federation and United Way Worldwide signed a new cooperation agreement in September 2011 , and the two sides will work together to increase Charity capacity building of ten domestic cities, which is referred as " ten city planning ." Shanghai was then determined as the first pilot cities for this project by both sides. After that, Shanghai Charity Foundation and United Way Worldwide jointly organized charity personnel training and other activities. Today , we are here to witness the establishedment of"Shanghai Charity Foundation United Way Fund", which marks the "ten city planning " with pioneering , sustainable development, and we hope that this special fund to be set as an advanced platform to join locally foreign corporation’s resources, understandings of community needs and advanced charitable experience and the Fund will make a positive contribution to fundraising and charitable cause of helping the poor and promote "ten city planning " as a model.

　　Finally, I wish "Shanghai Charity Foundation United Way Fund" developing smoothly and continuously achieving remarkable results !
